Village Hotels - Membership cancellation due to being unemployed

I have been a member of the Village gym at Swansea for some time, but I was dismissed from employment early 2025, I haven’t used the gym since January 2025 and contacted Swansea 21st May, at 15.25, I was run through checks and asked how she could help, I explained what has just happened and I am unemployed and wanted to cancel my membership and the phone hung up. Now I have been receiving daily phone calls from a dept collection company, I spoke to Swansea again on 14th July, it was explained to me that the Swansea manager doesn’t like cancelling memberships, I explained that I am unemployed and the chap I was talking to said he’d run it by the Swansea manager and contact the debt collection company, sadly, the debt collection company are still phoning me every day, I spoke to Village hotels ha, they said they can’t do anything till the Swansea manager fixes it. Can you please fix this issue, I am unemployed and haven’t caused Village hotels any issues whilst being a member at Swansea.
